But one thing to remember is that if her passport states her gender as male, and you intend to be married in the States, this could be a problem. I'd be interested to hear any stories from people who have any experience with this, and actually, that would make a good topic for a post here! Some States have legalized it, but as far as I know, the Federal Government doesn't recognize that at all.
